Huawei Ranks No.1 Globally and in China in Enterprise Wi-Fi 7 by Market Share and Shipments
Huawei ranks first both globally and in China in terms of market share and shipments of enterprise Wi-Fi 7 solutions, according to IDC data (Worldwide Quarterly Wireless LAN Tracker, Q4 2025). This marks the second consecutive year the company has maintained its leading position since IDC began publishing Wi-Fi 7 statistics in 2024.
Leadership from Standards to Real Deployments
Huawei has a long-standing role in the development of wireless technologies, actively contributing to the creation of global standards. In Wi-Fi 7, the company ranks first in contributions to standardization.
The development of Wi-Fi 7 solutions includes several key milestones:
- 2022 – launch of the first enterprise Wi-Fi 7 access point (AP)
- 2023 – successful Tolly testing and deployment of the first commercial Wi-Fi 7 network
- 2024 – introduction of a full portfolio of Wi-Fi 7 products for various scenarios and obtaining the first Wi-Fi CERTIFIED 7 certification from the Wi-Fi Alliance
To date, Huawei has shipped over 2 million enterprise Wi-Fi 7 devices, which serve as a foundation for digital transformation across various industries.
Huawei AirEngine Wi-Fi 7 – Next-Generation Networking Solutions
The Huawei AirEngine Wi-Fi 7 series expands the capabilities of Wi-Fi 7 technologies, focusing on three key areas:
High-speed and stable connectivity
For high-density environments, Huawei has developed technologies such as:
- iCSSR (Intelligent Coordinated Scheduling and Spatial Reuse)
- intelligent antennas with dynamic coverage
These solutions enable coordination between access points at the microsecond level and deliver up to twice the performance compared to the industry average, especially in environments such as offices and large public spaces.
Intelligent spaces and new applications
Huawei is extending the role of wireless networks beyond connectivity by leveraging Wi-Fi Channel State Information (CSI). This enables:
- detection of environmental anomalies without additional hardware
- integration with building management systems (BMS)
- connection with video surveillance systems
These capabilities support applications such as energy efficiency and facility security.
Enhanced security
Huawei introduces new mechanisms for protecting wireless networks:
- Wi-Fi Shield – an AI-based encoding technology that allows only authorized devices to decode the signal
- iGuard AP – specialized devices for sensitive environments (offices, meeting rooms, hotel rooms) capable of detecting hidden cameras using AI algorithms
Focus on Future Innovations
Huawei plans to continue developing its solutions in areas such as:
- Wi-Fi + IoT
- Wi-Fi + sensing technologies
- Wi-Fi + security
The goal is to deliver faster, more efficient, and more secure wireless networks that support organizations in their digital transformation and the adoption of intelligent technologies.
