TP-Link Unveils the World’s First Complete Wi-Fi 8 Lineup at IFA 2026
TP-Link Systems Inc., a global provider of consumer networking products, has unveiled its first complete Wi-Fi 8 lineup at IFA 2026. The new portfolio is led by the Archer 8 Ultra router and the Deco 8 Ultra mesh system, marking the company’s move into the next generation of wireless connectivity.
Based on the upcoming IEEE 802.11bn standard, the new portfolio combines Wi-Fi 8 chipsets from Broadcom, Qualcomm, and MediaTek with TP-Link’s hardware and software engineering capabilities. The focus goes beyond higher theoretical speeds to deliver more reliable and consistent connectivity in real world environments.
Built for reliability
Wi-Fi 8 is designed to address common wireless networking challenges such as weak coverage at the edges of the home, congestion caused by large numbers of connected devices, and interference that can result in inconsistent performance.
At the core of the Archer 8 Ultra and Deco 8 Ultra is TP-Link’s Wi-Fi 8 StabilityEngine. The technology is designed to improve coverage, manage network congestion, and reduce interference in order to provide a more stable connection throughout the home.
The platform combines several next generation technologies:
- Enhanced Long Range (ELR) and Distributed Resource Units (DRU) extend coverage to areas farther from the access point and improve uplink performance for distant and low power devices.
- Non Primary Channel Access (NPCA) helps maintain network responsiveness as more devices connect simultaneously.
- Unequal Modulation (UEQM) and new Modulation and Coding Schemes (MCS) help maintain consistent throughput in environments affected by interference.
Archer 8 Ultra BN19000
The Archer 8 Ultra is a tri band Wi-Fi 8 router offering up to 19 Gbps of aggregate wireless speeds and up to 10 Gbps of wired connectivity. Its 18 internal high performance antennas are designed to provide strong and consistent coverage throughout the home.
Deco 8 Ultra BN22000
The Deco 8 Ultra is a tri band Wi-Fi 8 mesh system capable of delivering up to 22 Gbps of aggregate wireless speeds and up to 10 Gbps of wired connectivity. A three unit package can provide coverage of up to 9,800 square feet and support more than 200 connected devices.
Where design meets functionality
TP-Link has also placed a strong emphasis on industrial design. The company says traditional routers are often hidden because of their appearance, potentially limiting the locations where they can deliver the best performance.
Designed in California, the Archer 8 Ultra features a minimalist architectural design with a dual tone grille, while a soft light indicator replaces conventional status LEDs. The Deco 8 Ultra uses organic edges and a compact form factor designed to blend into modern interiors.
Availability and planned lineup
The Archer 8 Ultra will be available for pre order in selected markets from September 30, 2026. TP-Link plans to expand the Wi-Fi 8 portfolio with additional products over the following quarters.
- Deco 8 – Wi-Fi 8 Mesh System – Q1 2027
- Roam 8 – Wi-Fi 8 Travel Router – Q2 2027
- Wi-Fi 8 Range Extenders and Adapters – Q2 2027
Product specifications, launch schedules, and regional availability may vary and are subject to change.
