HPE introduces AI-ready Juniper networking solutions for operators ahead of Mobile World Congress 2026

04/03/2026

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has introduced a new generation of networking, compute, and cloud solutions aimed at telecommunications operators and cloud service providers ahead of Mobile World Congress 2026.

The new offerings include Juniper routing platforms, server systems for radio access and core networks, software for managing virtualized and containerized environments, as well as a new financial program through HPE Financial Services.

According to the company, the initiative represents the next step in integrating Juniper Networks and expanding its strategy to build AI infrastructure for the service provider ecosystem.

Networks optimized for AI traffic

A key highlight is the update to the Juniper PTX series, designed for backbone and data center environments.

The new platforms use Juniper Express 5 ASIC technology and provide up to 49% better energy efficiency compared to the previous generation.

Among the key solutions is the modular Juniper PTX12000 series, designed to scale AI and cloud traffic without requiring infrastructure redesign. The platforms support 800G connectivity and are prepared for future 1.6T environments.

The compact PTX10002 routers were also introduced, optimized for AI network architectures and offering performance of up to 28.8 Tbps.

Additionally, Juniper Routing Director now supports integration with AI co-pilot systems, enabling automation of operations and optimization of WAN environments.

New compute solutions for telecom infrastructure

HPE also introduced new compute platforms for operator environments—from edge locations to core networks.

The combination of HPE ProLiant Compute EL9000 and EL140 Gen12 delivers twice the fronthaul throughput and 20% more processor cores, enabling the processing of twice as much network traffic on a single server.

The integration of Juniper Cloud Native Router into ProLiant servers allows routing and compute functions to be combined, reducing hardware costs and energy consumption at cellular sites.

Unified platform for cloud operations

With rising virtualization costs and increasing data sovereignty requirements, operators are rethinking their cloud strategies.

The new HPE Cloud Ops Software unifies virtual machine and container management, observability, AIOps automation, DevOps, and FinOps capabilities in multicloud and multi-vendor environments. The solution acts as a central control plane for modernizing private cloud infrastructure.

New financial program

HPE Financial Services also introduced the 90/9 Advantage program, allowing customers to defer payments for the first 90 days, followed by nine months of leasing payments at 1% per month. The program covers networking, server, storage, and software solutions.

AI is transforming operator networks

According to analysts from ACG Research, the growth of AI services is changing infrastructure requirements for network capacity, latency, and automation.

HPE’s new solutions aim to prepare operators for the next stage of AI-driven connectivity through high-performance networking, automation, and integrated security.
