Veeam introduces Agent Commander – a new solution for AI risk detection

02/03/2026

With the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence in business, organizations are increasingly facing a new type of risk — automated systems that process and use data at speeds far exceeding traditional monitoring and security processes.

In response to these challenges, Veeam introduced Agent Commander, a new platform designed for AI risk detection, protection of AI systems, and recovery from errors caused by autonomous AI agents. The solution is the result of Veeam’s acquisition of Securiti AI at the end of 2025.

According to Anand Eswaran, CEO of Veeam, organizations need continuous visibility into what data AI agents use, how they operate, and what consequences their actions may have in real time. When problems occur, companies must not only identify the affected data but also be able to quickly restore its previous state.

Trust – the main challenge for AI adoption

Veeam identifies trust as the biggest challenge in deploying AI technologies. As AI agents proliferate, data risk and AI decision risk increasingly become intertwined.

AI systems can access sensitive information within seconds, while traditional detection and response mechanisms often lag behind. An additional complication is the fragmented nature of enterprise systems for security, data management, and recovery.

Intelligent control through Data Command Graph

At the core of Agent Commander is Data Command Graph, a real-time analytics mechanism that tracks relationships between data, identities, AI models, and autonomous agents across both production and backup environments.

The platform enables the detection of risky combinations involving compromised accounts, exposed data, and AI agents, while also monitoring how such risks evolve and spread.

Key capabilities of the solution

Agent Commander provides three main functionalities:

  • detection of AI-related risks and unauthorized AI activity (shadow AI)
  • automated protection through policies controlling data, identities, and AI agents
  • the ability to precisely roll back unwanted actions performed by AI systems

The solution integrates the management of production and backup environments, enabling better oversight of AI operations and data.

Agent Commander will be available in a future version of Securiti Data Command Center, and organizations can request early access through the Veeam website.
