ASAP digitizes intellectual property management

ASAP successfully completed the development of a specialized digital platform for Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", creating a new environment for managing, tracking and developing the university's research assets and intellectual property.

The solution brought together in one place information on patents, utility models, prototypes, software, know-how and other scientific developments, turning fragmented data into a structured and accessible digital resource.

More than a registry

ASAP built a system that does not merely store information, but connects scientific developments with researchers, projects, publications and licenses. The platform made it possible for data to be searched, analyzed and tracked over time, as well as enriched through international public registers such as EPO, EUIPO and WIPO.

As part of the solution, an assessment based on the international TRL scale was also implemented, allowing the technological maturity of a development to be tracked – from an initial scientific idea to a solution with potential for market realization.

The platform also included an interactive map, through which scientific and technological assets can be presented and analyzed according to their field, location, technological maturity and market potential.

With the completed project, ASAP created for Sofia University not just an information system, but a digital environment that supports the connection between science, business and potential investors.

The solution made scientific developments more visible and created better conditions for the knowledge and innovations created at the university to find their way to practical application.
